February Newsletter

Hello Everyone,

For February’s newsletter I would like to tell you a little bit about myself and how I started Valley View Landscaping.

My journey started out at the West Bend Country Club Golf Course in my 20’s. I worked there for 10 years and had a great Boss. I learned a lot for him, and I really dogs enjoyed being outside so, I know that’s is what I wanted to do, be outside. So, I decided I wanted to learn more about everything, so I moved on to landscaping companies. I worked at a few landscaping companies and had a lot of great teachers along the way. I worked my way up the latter to foreman and I knew that’s what I wanted to do be the boss… lol. I did have other jobs in between the years. I went to school and became an EMT then up to intermediate IV Tech. Then I did some waitressing and worked in a factory. That lasted 3 days.

I thought about starting my own landscaping company for some time. Then one day about 6 years ago I was told by my boss I should be so lucky that I was getting x amount of dollars for what I was doing. I realized right then and there I was not going to except that. That is what gave me my drive to start Valley View landscaping. Those few words changed my life. The name Valley View Landscaping came from my husband who had a working farm years ago and it was called Valley View Dairy. He no longer farms but I wanted to keep the name in the family and that is where the business is today.

I have a wonderful Family my husband Jason and my wonderful son Taylor, both work for the company. Someday I hope to hand the business down to Taylor. Taylor is not married but has a wonderful girlfriend Amanda. We are crossing our fingers she is the one. We have 2 dogs Tanner and Sebastian, 4 house cats Abby, Tiger Bear, and Taz, 4 shop cats Daisy, Sammie, Stew and Stan. Couple of goats, ducks, chicken and sheep. YES, I love animals. I collect precious moments and have an abscission with buying jackets. I have a twin sister (Gloria) who owns Kettle Moraine Glass, and a brother (Michael). My mom (Gloria) and my father (Miguel) who passed away in 2017. A mother in-law (Diane) and a father in-law (Bobby) who passed away in 2020.

I hope you all enjoyed these few tidbits about me and how Valley View Landscaping came about. It is not easy, and it is a challenge every day. But I have to say I have a lot of people who are supporting me, and it is amazing how much they care. My BIGGEST supporter who I would not be where I am today would be the good Lord God. Amen!

Thanks for Reading! Here are a few pictures of my family.
